David Vogel

Mark Vogel died in December 1990 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 23. Mark spent his middle school years at Loretto before accepting a scholarship to Pem-Day for high school, where he graduated in 1984. He then graduated from Tufts University in Massachusetts in 1988. At the time of his death, he was living in California.

I think he always regretted leaving Loretto, and in the years after the school closed we often talked about our great memories and friends from the time we were there. He was a fine brother, son and friend, and is missed.

Mark was the sweetest. I had a crush on him for years. I remember Abby Mirkin used to call and give him rate tests on my behalf. He is very fondly remembered. :)

Mark was such a positive person and a great friend. I especially remember him in Alice Amick's french class - we used to cut up a little bit. He was taken from us far too soon.
